Sunflowers are an eye-catching and cheerful addition to any garden! Here are some helpful tips to ensure that your sunflowers thrive:
  1. Plant in full sun. Sunflowers need at least six hours of direct sunlight each day, so make sure to pick a spot with ample sunlight.

  2. Use well-draining soil. Sunflowers need soil that is rich in nutrients, with good drainage.

  3. Water regularly. Sunflowers need to be watered regularly, especially during hot weather. Monitor the soil to make sure it doesn't dry out.

  4. Fertilize. Sunflowers need nutrients to grow healthy and strong. Use a fertilizer specifically formulated for flowers to provide additional nourishment.

  5. Support the stems. As sunflowers grow, their stems can become top-heavy. Stake them or use a cage for support.

  6. Deadhead the flowers. When the flowers start to look faded, it's time to deadhead them. This will encourage new flowers to bloom and keep the plant looking fresh.
